REDBUD LIMITED WARRANTY

We believe our products to be superior in strength and design.  Commitment to customer satisfaction is our priority.  This is why we offer a 3-year warranty program.

All Redbud doors are warranted to be free of manufacturing defects, warpage, and delamination that would prove doors unusable for ordinary recommended use for a period of 3 (three) years from manufacture date.  Any exceptions of this warranty would be expressed at the time of sale.

If a door is found to have a defect, Redbud’s options are limited to:

1. Repairing the door
2. Replacing the door
3. Refunding the original purchase price of the door once the doors are returned.  Redbud will not be responsible for cost of shipping, handling, labor to remove old door, labor to re-hang new door, or the finishing of replacement door.

If the claimed defect is warpage, repairing or replacing the door may be deferred for up to twelve (12) months from claim date or the date the product was installed. A temporary warp condition is not uncommon as the door adjusts to local temperatures and humidity levels. 

Shipment defects must be reported to Redbud immediately.  All defects must be reported prior to the hanging or installing of the door otherwise the product shall be judged correct and acceptable.

Defects not covered by this warranty:

• Warp up to ¼" (one-fourth) of an inch in the plane of the door.
• Warp for door wider than 42" or taller than 96".
• Damage due to improper finishing or lack of finish or care. 
• Any door returned to us with visible water stains or visible moisture damage.
• Non-alignment of the frame or jamb.
• Damage caused by improperly hung doors. 
• Damage due to third party attempting to repair the door.
• Damage caused that is beyond the control of Redbud, including but not limiting acts of nature, civil disturbances, and the availability of materials.
• Slight expansion / contraction is considered normal due to varying temperatures or humidity.
• Natural variations in color, texture or grain of wood. These are considered enhancements and not defects.

Warranty Exclusions

• Damage caused to a door that has been hung in an unprotected area.  The overhang of the building must provide adequate protection in conjunction with the use of a proper finish for your local climate.
• Any door not properly sealed within 72 hours of the crate being opened or 7 days from the date of pickup or delivery.  Doors must be sealed on all six surfaces: top, bottom, sides, and faces.  The same amount of coats must be applied to each side.
• Any door installed in an excessively hot or humid area such as a sauna or greenhouse or next to a heat source.
• Any door installed in an area exposed to water or steam such as a swimming pool, sauna or hot tub.
• Any doors that have been mis-handled or abused
• Any designated interior door hung in an exterior location
• Discoloration of a door due to the use of a decorative metal accent.
• Damage due to the trimming of a door in excess of ½" from the top and 1" from the bottom.
• Improper fit due to incorrect measurements from the builder/contractor or homeowner.
• Damage to door from extreme temperature buildup where a storm door is being utilized.  Storm doors must be vented to eliminate this problem.

Note:  Redbud reserves the right to make product improvement changes in materials or construction details. Most woods vary in color, grain and texture.  These variations can affect the actual finish product.  Variances in photography, computer monitors, or printing may also cause colors in this collection to vary from the actual finished product. 

Shipping and Handling Recommendations

• Doors will be shipped by common carrier of our choice, one of which will best meet the need of your delivery situation.
• Unless otherwise specified the packages should be kept right side up.
• Check for damage and notify the carrier if there is notable damage to the shipping container.  Do not disassemble crating until a carrier representative notes the damage.
• Store doors out of shipping container covered on a flat smooth surface.
• Do not stand on end
• Protect from sunlight, extreme heat, cold or moisture
• Doors must be finished within 72 hours of receipt on all six sides

Modification

No modification of the warranty / agreement will be binding unless it is in writing and signed by an officer of Redbud.

Claims

Claims made under this limited warranty must be made in writing within warranty period and prior to any repair work. Details in writing shall include the date of purchase, location of shipment, name, address and telephone number of the person making the claim, and the nature of the problem. Redbud reserves the right and must be given a thirty (30) day opportunity to have any door subjected to a warranty claim inspected by a Redbud authority.  Mailing address: Redbud, PO Box 280, Kernville, CA 93238

Limitations

This limited warranty extends only to original purchaser of a Redbud door or the original purchaser of the structure into which the Redbud door is installed.

The purpose of this warranty is to set forth the exact liability for Redbud’s product.

Redbud makes no representation or warranties, expressed or implied, about the condition of their doors, their use for a particular purpose, quality, workmanship of its doors, or the absence of defects whether or not discoverable. Redbud makes no warranties or representations of how doors are to be used such as singly or in combination of other goods. Any implied warranty shall be limited to one (1) year from manufacture date.  There are no warranties that extend beyond that and Redbud’s sole responsibility is stated herein.  Redbud’s liability is limited to the price paid for the door.  Redbud is not liable for consequential or incidental damages whether direct or indirect.  No distributor, dealer or representative have legal right to change, alter or modify this limited warranty.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights however you may have other rights, which vary from state to state.   Some states do not allow limitations to implied warranties or limitations of consequential or incidental damages.

This warranty effective for all products (unless otherwise stated at time of purchase) manufactured or sold after October 1st, 2007.
